Sinead Murphy - Vice President of US Media/Entertainment E&O Hiscox, Inc.

Ms. Murphy joined Hiscox in 2003 underwriting media and entertainment risks and has over a decade of experience in insurance. She began her career at Hiscox in London where she handled the US, Canadian and French territory for media liability as well as the UK for the production package . She moved to San Francisco in 2006 and more recently Los Angeles to drive forward west coast US admitted media and entertainment business for Hiscox. Prior to joining Hiscox Ms. Murphy worked as an underwriting assistant at Kemper Insurance and in the claims department at Axa Corporate Solutions. She graduated with a degree in International Business Studies and French in 1999.

Nicole Goodwin - Head of Claims, North America

Nicole Goodwin is Head of the Casualty Claims Division at Hiscox, and brings nearly a decade of experience handling technology and media coverage matters. Ms. Goodwin joined Hiscox's London office in 2004 as Divisional US Counsel for the Technology Media and Telecoms Division, and prior to joining Hiscox practiced intellectual property litigation and technology insurance consulting at a large San Francisco law firm. Prior to entering private practice, Ms. Goodwin worked in the litigation department at one of the nation's largest telecommunications companies as well as the legal department of a start-up technology company in Seattle, Washington. Ms. Goodwin has authored several articles on intellectual property issues, technology insurance issues, computer hacker liability and e-commerce risk management. She is now based in Hiscox's Manhattan office.

 

Liz Kim - Head of Media and Technology claims for North America

Liz Kim is Head of Claims for the Technology Media & Telecommunications Division. At Hiscox, she manages technology, media, and data privacy claims, drafts standard and bespoke wordings, and provides legal counsel to the underwriters in her Division. Before joining Hiscox, she practiced insurance coverage law for more than a decade, including being involved in some of the most significant insurance cases in the 9th Circuit at one of Chambers' highest-rated California insurance firms. Ms. Kim has advised both domestic and London insurance clients with respect to various technology and media E&O forms, and litigated coverage actions involving declaratory relief, contribution, rescission, reformation, and bad faith in state and federal courts throughout the United States. She has published several articles and served as a panelist on various topics relating to insurance law, technology and media litigation, and data privacy in California, Washington, and Nevada. Ms. Kim obtained her law degree, magna cum laude, from Seattle University, and is admitted to practice law in California, New York, Washington, and Nevada.

 

Christopher J. McNulty - Senior Claims Counsel/Head of Claims of the
Management Liability Division

Christopher J. McNulty joined Hiscox in April 2009 as Senior Claims Counsel/Head of Claims of the Management Liability Division. In this position, his primary role is to oversee and handle various Management Liability claims for private and non-profit companies including: Directors and Officers, Employment Practices Liability, Fiduciary Liability, Employed Lawyers Professional Liability and other commercial liability related matters. Prior to joining Hiscox, Christopher began his insurance career in June of 2002 when he joined the Directors and Officers claim department of AIG. During his tenure at AIG, he held various management and technical positions including Senior Complex Claims Director in the National Accounts D&O Division where he handled high exposure securities and employment class action claims. Prior to joining AIG, Christopher was a commercial litigator at two small law firms in New York City. He graduated cum laude from the University of Mississippi’s School of Law in 1999 and received his B.S. from the State University of New York College at Brockport in 1993.
